I, DEKUNA, have been an active solo artist since 2019. I love writing songs and putting them out there for the world to see. I have studied music performance at college and university and I have played on stage many times, both in bands and on my own. I write music for multiple different genres but I do like ambience and I try to make things as ambient as possible sometimes, it really depends on the song though. I’d have to say that my biggest achievements so far are performing at Rock City, gaining the confidence to become a solo artist and actually releasing some music. I released my first EP in May of 2021 which features 5 tracks, 2 of which I had previously released as singles to promote the EP. I have also had 3 of my tracks, of which are singles, played on BBC Music Introducing on BBC Radio Nottingham, "On Your Mind", "Drag Me Down" and "In A World Of Black And White", which is another thing that I am proud of.
